You don’t take a photograph, you make it. – Ansel Adams
As far as I can imagine, I have loved the art of photography. As a young child I would beg my Mother to show me all the photos of me as an infant and photos of her life as a child. I would stare at them in awe and enjoy mostly the aged and colorless looks of the photographs and wonder if I could “do that.”
As time has moved on, I have begun my own timeless memories and focused mainly on aged and old style coloring to reflect on this very time in my life. I once had someone ask me what type of camera I used in hopes that they could take photographs in the same manner as I. I truly believe in the quote from Ansel Adams above - you don’t just take pictures – you make them and you make them your own. With deep consideration for post processing and taking great pride in choosing the right color – the right moment and the right solution is what makes a moment. I pride myself in doing this very thing.
In hopes that you would choose me to cherish your moment, remember in choosing a Photographer, that they just don’t TAKE photographs, assure yourself they “MAKE THEM.”
